“Climate Fresk” to Engage with Climate Change

image mis en avant

On October 2021, the Roquette R&D team carried out its first “Climate Fresk.”

It is a collaborative approach where participants collectively construct a fresco summarizing the main mechanisms of climate change as explained in the reports of the IPCC (Intergovernmental Panel on Climate Change).

This awareness workshop was organized with a small number of people based in France to test the concept. All the participants were completely won over by the exercise and found it particularly well suited to help them better understand the climate issues that stand in front of us. The goal now is to extend this approach to other Roquette teams and to train our own facilitators for the next training sessions.

Following the Climate Fresk workshop, the R&D team also brainstormed to define future research programs in the areas of climate change mitigation and adaptation, selected the most promising ideas and processed them in active collaboration with the other relevant functions of the group. Through this approach, the goal is to help Roquette ideally fit into tomorrow’s world, in full compliance with the COP21* commitments.
