Avoiding CO₂ Emissions with Bioethanol

In Beinheim (France), a barge loaded with bioethanol destined for Europe has reduced greenhouse gas (GHG) emissions above 100% compared to fossil fuel.

Thanks to its biomass boiler, geothermal energy, and CO2 recovery, our Beinheim site has achieved in average an 90.4% reduction of CO2 reduction in ethanol. This figure makes our site one of the most efficient in Europe in this area!

Bioethanol also contributes to achieving our global 2025 objective of avoiding 1 million tons of C02 per year within four years.
