For the past four years, the Act & Care initiative, launched by the Roquette Foundation, has been supporting public interest organizations and highlighting the commitment of Roquette employees. Each year, five projects are funded with a grant of €5,000 each. Selected by a jury, these projects can be carried out anywhere in the world. We are delighted to unveil the five winners for the year 2024:
School & Trees- Uganda, Africa
This project, led by a French association, aims to provide balanced meals to 500 children by creating an innovative pilot farm. This farm will include 120 laying hens, an orchard with 100 fruit trees, and 50 beehives. Their mission is twofold: to support the educational and economic development of villages while actively combating climate change. By integrating sustainable agriculture into the daily lives of the children, this project promises to transform local communities and make them more resilient to environmental challenges.
Fraternidade Espirita Mensageiros da Paz – Brazil, South America

Ratna Nidhi Charitable Trust – India, Asia
In Mumbai, this project focuses on combating malnutrition by providing nutritious meals to underprivileged children and promoting education. Their mission is to overcome poverty issues in this megacity by building a future without hunger, abuse, or poverty for the children. By investing in nutrition and education, Ratna Nidhi Charitable Trust aims to break the cycle of poverty and give children the opportunity to reach their full potential.
Evermore Gather Grow Lead Inc.- Canada, North America
In Winnipeg, this project provides healthy snacks to children from low-income families and plans to expand its program to a fourth site in 2024. Their mission is to inspire children by offering them quality recreational opportunities, allowing them to grow in a healthy and stimulating environment. By focusing on nutrition and physical activity, Evermore Gather Grow Lead Inc. aims to create a generation of healthier and happier children.
Richebourg Solidarité- France, Europe
This project assists low-income families by providing food and material aid and offering additional packages during holidays. Their mission is to welcome, help, and support low-income families in Richebourg and the surrounding areas, offering them valuable support and a glimmer of hope in difficult times. By strengthening the local social fabric, Richebourg Solidarité contributes to building a more supportive and united community.
