Roquette in Italy has successfully completed the process to obtain Gender Equality Certification, complying with the requirements of the UNI/PdR 125:2022 practice. This certification, established in 2022, is a national practice developed by the Italian Standardization Body (UNI) in collaboration with the Department for Equal Opportunities and other stakeholders. It was introduced to address the need to structure and incentivize concrete policies aimed at reducing the gender gap in Italian companies.
The Gender Equality Certification defines a reference framework for organizations wishing to implement a gender equality-oriented management system, based on measurable performance indicators (KPIs). This practice is part of the measures promoted by the National Recovery and Resilience Plan (PNRR) to support the sustainable growth of the Italian production system.
The Gender Equality Certification recognizes a company’s ability to implement effective policies to ensure inclusivity and equality. For Roquette in Italy, achieving this goal is an important step towards an increasingly sustainable and responsible business model.

To date, thanks to the eight months of work done by HR and Communications teams, Roquette in Italy is among the few companies that have obtained this certification, as it is a relatively new and complex issue that requires structural and continuous commitment.
During the audit process, which took place in November 2024, six key areas were examined: the integration of gender equality principles into corporate strategy, inclusion-oriented leadership policies and practices, fairness in HR processes, interventions to promote professional growth and female representation, pay equity for equivalent roles and responsibilities, and policies supporting work-life balance.
The assessment concluded with an overall score of 80%, a result that exceeds the minimum required threshold of 60%, positioning Roquette in Italy among the pioneers in adopting this important certification.
To maintain the Gender Equality Certification, Roquette in Italy is committed to continuously monitoring the defined KPIs and working with the management team and the Steering Committee to further improve performance in all areas. Maintenance audits will be conducted periodically, ensuring continuous updating of results and alignment with required standards.
This milestone underscores the importance of continuing to invest in sustainable and inclusive practices, not only to comply with regulations and stakeholder expectations but also to actively contribute to a more equitable and inclusive society.
