Roquette successfully achieved International Sustainability and Carbon Certification (ISCC) PLUS for its Isosorbide, produced in Lestrem, France.

With this certification, Roquette reaffirms its commitment to sustainable practices along the value chain for its plant-based ingredient POLYSORB® isosorbide, available on the market for more than 10 years.

Roquette earned the International Sustainability and Carbon Certification (ISCC) PLUS for POLYSORB® isosorbide and the following product grades: POLYSORB® PSA, POLYSORB® LP, POLYSORB® PA.

POLYSORB® isosorbide is a versatile and eco-friendly alternative to traditional materials. As a 100% plant-based monomer, it helps to enhance the performance and minimize the environmental impact of materials used in packaging, plasticizers, polycarbonates, polyurethanes, and paints and coatings.

International Sustainability and Carbon Certification (ISCC) PLUS is a voluntary scheme that applies to the bioeconomy and circular economy for food, feed, chemicals, plastics, packaging, textiles, and renewable feedstock derived from a process using renewable energy sources.

With the ISCC PLUS certification, Roquette reaffirms to its customers that they are using a product that meets the highest standards of sustainability and environmental responsibility.

The achievement of the ISCC PLUS certification was possible thanks to the collaborative effort of many functions: manufacturing, controlling, purchasing, logistic, sales, marketing and sustainability department.

Working together with the Performance Material team, they have been instrumental in demonstrating our sustainable practices and that we are committed to providing innovative plant-based ingredients that meet the highest standards of sustainability.

This certification is a good first step towards more sustainable offer for our customers.
